Our Story

Econation began with a simple mission: to create eco-friendly products with real impact. Born from the idea that sustainability should be accessible, meaningful, and community-driven, Econation was founded to tackle two challenges at once: waste pollution and unemployment.

We noticed a gap — billboard vinyl was polluting our landfills, while local township artisans were struggling to find dignified, sustainable income opportunities. From this, we created a solution where waste becomes opportunity, and every sale supports a cleaner South Africa and stronger communities.

By giving new life to materials destined for landfills, we create eco-friendly car bins, boot organisers, and accessories that are durable, locally handcrafted, and uniquely South African. Each product is handmade by artisans from underserved township communities, turning waste into opportunity and enabling micro-entrepreneurship in areas where it's needed most.
